Coronavirus: US approves Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on Friday for emergency use, making it the second vaccine to be approved in the country. Earlier Friday, Vice-President Mike Pence became one of the top U.S. officials to get the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, doing so live on television, in an effort to provide more assurances to the safety of the vaccine. But even with vaccines being administered across the country, hospitals are still struggling with the influx of new COVID-19 patients. Jennifer Johnson reports on the status of COVID-19 in the U.S
