The Finance Minister's announcement that the iconic Penang ferry service would go on has caught the Penang government by surprise, says Chow Kon Yeow.

The Penang Chief Minister said that on Friday, adding that the state will wait for Penang Port Sdn Bhd (PPSB) to announce its final plans for the ferry service after Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz declared that it would continue to operate.
