Coronavirus: Alberta says need for field hospitals depends on Christmas behaviour

As COVID-19 hospitalizations continue to rise in Alberta, the province has called in the Red Cross to help set up a field hospital at the University of Alberta's Butterdome. Alberta’s health minister said Thursday the temporary facility would only be necessary if current hospital limits, including creating up to 2,250 beds for COVID-19 patients, are reached. As Heather Yourex-West reports, Health Minister Tyler Shandro is calling the temporary hospital a “contingency plan” which will depend on people's adherence to restrictions over the holidays
