Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah on Wednesday defended his decision that led to three members of the parliament being allowed to vote in the Parliament for the Budget 2021 on Monday.

The three MPs who were observing Covid-19 quarantine at home had been allowed to attend the Parliament sitting in the personal protective equipment.

Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the law provided him with the discretion to allow individuals who were being investigated for Covid-19 to vote or carry out certain activities but he said they need to adhere to guidelines set by the Health Ministry.
