미국 대선 선거인단 투표 진행

Monday marks an important day in the multi-step U.S. election process,.... as the electoral college takes a major step toward officially declaring Joe Biden the winner.

Kyung-eun, what's the latest?
Mok-yeon, state electors have begun casting their ballots in their respective capitols,... starting Monday morning, local time.
Within a couple of hours,.. all 5-hundred-38 members of the electoral college will have cast their ballots,... reflecting the popular vote.
The results would come out at different times,... in all 50 states.
As of 6:30 AM Korea Time, Biden has 2-hundred-40,... out of the 2-70 majority needed to win.
President Trump has 2-hundred-29.
Based on the result from November 3rd popular vote,... Biden is projected to win 3-hundred-6.
The voting is normally an ordinary event and just a formality.
But there's extra focus this year,.. as President Trump continues to challenge the outcome.
