According to Business Insider, Starbucks announced plans to step up its global presence in the marketplace.
They plan to expand from 33,000 to 55,000 stores globally by 2030.
Over half of its new stores will be cafes, 40% will be drive-thrus and 5% will be pickup formats.
A large part of Starbucks' efforts will be focused in China, where they are building 600 new locations, in 2021.
They are also enhancing their digital footprint online and in-stores.
This includes the mobile order-ahead options and making in-store contactless payments.
They will continue to emphasize on-the-go experiences that they've added since the pandemic, like curbside pickup, drive-thru, and mobile order-ahead, which increased at the start of COVID.
