Mumbai nightclubs & pubs flout Covid-19 rules, BMC warns
  • 3 years ago
Over the next 10 days, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will keep a hawk’s eye on all of Mumbai’s nightclubs, pubs and restaurants. Those violating the norms stand to lose their licence along with a heavy fine if caught. BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal has said that a verbal warning has been issued to all nightclubs, pubs and restaurants in Mumbai and that various teams have been formed to keep a watch on the night life. With Christmas and New Year around the corner, BMC feels there will be heightened activity in the nightclubs and pubs and that many people will be out on the streets for celebrations.
