How Felicity Jones’ Pregnancy Changed George Clooney’s Film

George Clooney directs and starts in a new science-fiction movie titled ‘The Midnight Sky’.
The Oscar winning actor had to pivot when Felicity Jones told him that she was pregnant shortly before she began filming.
"We started shooting in October and two weeks into it, Felicity called me and said she's pregnant. And so, you know, she wasn't going to start until the 5th of January. And so by the time she showed up, she was showing, she was pregnant," he recalls.
Clooney said at first they tried to film scenes while hiding the pregnancy but that "didn't really work and made everybody uncomfortable." So he and his producing partner Grant Heslov decided to "lean into it.”
