Gold worth Rs 59 lakh seized at Chennai Airport

The customs officials at Chennai International Airport seized 1.15 kg gold valued at Rs 59 lakh. Gold was concealed and wrapped with black adhesive tape and was recovered from beneath the cushion of one of the seats. The packets were found to contain gold in paste form.
