Mount Everest grows by nearly a metre

Mount Everest is now 0.86-metres higher than had been previously calculated making it 8,848.86 metres high. It is somewhat disputed when the last measurement of Everest took place. China conducted surveys in both 1975 and 2005. However, Nepal do not recognise these measurements. The acknowledgement from both sides of the new height puts aside this long-running disagreement over the measurement Report by Fullerg.
