Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended virtual inaugural ceremony of 'India Mobile Congress 2020' on December 08. At the ceremony, PM Modi said "We need to work together to ensure a timely roll-out of 5G to leapfrog into the future and empower millions of Indians."

ఇండియన్ మొబైల్ కాంగ్రెస్ (ఐఎంసీ)ను కొద్దిసేపటి కిందట ప్రారంభించారు. అనంతరం వీడియో కాన్ఫరెన్స్ ద్వారా సదస్సును ఉద్దేశించి ప్రసంగించారు. దేశంలో 5జీ నెట్‌వర్క్‌ను సత్వరమే అభివృద్ధి చేయాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని ప్రధాని అన్నారు. ఈ దిశగా సత్వర నిర్ణయాలను తీసుకోవాలని చెప్పారు. 5జీ స్పీడ్‌తో నెట్‌వర్క్‌ను కల్పించడం వల్ల డిజిటల్ మార్కెట్ మరింత వేగంగా పురోగమిస్తుందని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు.
