A 90-year-old grandmother in the UK has become the first person in the world to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine outside of the testing phase for the Covid-19 shot. Margaret Keenan from Coventry was the first in Britain to get the jab as the country started inoculations on December 8, 2020, on what is being referred to as “V-Day”. The UK is the first Western country to start vaccinating its general population.
