Minister invites farmers for talks citing cold, Covid

The agriculture minister has invited the protesting farmer groups for talks on Tuesday, two days before the scheduled meeting on December 3. The Union government cited cold and Covid-19 for the invitation to hold talks immediately. The protests and stalemate at the Delhi-Haryana border have now entered the sixth day with more farmers joining the agitation with their tractors and trolleys. Even as the government invited the farmers for talks over their demands of abolishing the 3 new farm laws, the agitating farmers have said the Centre must invite all 500 groups of farmers from across the country instead of the 32 they have invited.
