Monty Panesar, the former England spinner, expressed solidarity with the farmers’ protest at the Delhi-Haryana border and opinionated on the farm bills passed by the Narendra Modi government. Protesting against the three agricultural bills passed by the central government in September, thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh have marched to Delhi.

देश में पंजाब, हरियाणा, यूपी समेत कई राज्यों के किसान केंद्र सरकार के तीन नए कृषि कानून के खिलाफ आंदोलित हैं। किसान इन कानूनों को वापस लिए जाने की मांग कर रहे हैं और इसी मांग को लेकर किसान दिल्ली चलो के नारे के साथ सड़क पर उतरे। इस दौरान हरियाणा सरकार की ओर से उन्हें हर संभव रोकने की कोशिश की गई लेकिन बाजवूद इसके वह दिल्ली पहुंचने में सफल रहे। किसानों के इस आंदोलन को हर तबके के लोग समर्थन दे रहे हैं। इंग्लैंड के पूर्व स्पिन गेंदबाज मोन्टी पनेसर ने भी किसानों को अपना समर्थन दिया है।
