Vietnamese designer tries to bring country’s ancient outfits back into fashion
  • 3 years ago
Instead of working on modern clothing styles, Vietnamese designer Nguyen Duc Loc has decided to take a step back in time and focus on his country’s ancient outfit designs. The 28-year-old has founded a company dedicated to reproducing attire from Vietnam’s Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945), a time when the ruling class wore extravagant designs embellished with symbols of power such as dragons. Loc hopes his company can help spur a return of the traditional clothing to modern-day life.
