"What shall give thanks for this season? Well, first, let's be thankful for democracy itself," says President-elect Joe Biden in a Thanksgiving Day address in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware. During his speech, Biden did not mention Donald Trump by name but referred to the president's refusal to accept the results of the election. Biden also said the Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated political divisions in the United States and called for unity.
