Islamic scholar slams UP govt's 'love jihad' ordinance

The Uttar Pradesh cabinet decided on Tuesday to introduce an ordinance, clearing a law against unlawful religious conversion for the sake of marriage to check 'love jihad' The ordinance provides for a jail term of 1-5 years with a Rs 15,000 penalty for forceful religious conversion. Meanwhile, during a discussion on this issue, Islamic scholar Ateek-ur-Rehman slammed the Yogi government for bringing this ordinance. Watch the video for more details.
