Coronavirus masks featuring diamonds and pearls sell for nearly US$10,500 each in Japan

Some very pricey personal protection adorned with a diamond or precious pearls has gone on sale in Japan. Carrying a price tag of over US$10,500 each, the handmade face masks turned up on Cox Co’s Mask.com chain in mid-November 2020. The company said it is an attempt to cheer people up and spur sales for a fashion industry hard-hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.
