Tulsi marriage is done on Ekadashi date of Shukla Patra of Kartik month. It is also celebrated as Devouthani Ekadashi. This year, Ekadashi is falling on 25 November. On this day, Mata Tulsi is married to Lord Shaligram. According to the story, once Tulsi got angry and cursed Vishnu ji, due to which he became a stone. In order to get rid of this curse, Vishnu took the incarnation of Shaligram. He then married Mata Tulsi. It is said that Mata Tulsi is the incarnation of Maa Lakshmi.

कार्तिक मास के शुक्ल पत्र की एकादशी तिथि को तुलसी विवाह किया जाता है। इसे देवउठनी एकादशी के रूप में भी मनाया जाता है। इस साल यह एकादशी 25 नवंबर को पड़ रही है। इस दिन माता तुलसी का विवाह भगवान शालिग्राम के साथ किया जाता है।कथा के अनुसार, एक बार तुलसी ने विष्णु जी गुस्से में आकर शाप दे दिया था जिसके चलते वो पत्थर बन गए थे। इस शाप से मुक्त होने के लिए विष्णु जी ने शालिग्राम का अवतार लिया। इसके बाद उन्होंने माता तुलसी से विवाह किया। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि मां लक्ष्मी का अवतार माता तुलसी हैं।
