One that is found most effective is an enzyme derived from a microorganism in the intestine of silkworms. This enzyme is called serrapeptase.

Traditionally, serrapeptase has been used as an anti-inflammatory treatment and pain reliever. Yet recently, studies have shown that serrapeptase may potentially be used in cancer treatment.
