Data from MySejahtera app will only be used to detect new Covid-19 cases, says Health DG

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah assured the public that the MySejahtera app will not be used to track those who fled from Medan 88 in Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, an area placed under the enhanced movement control order.
He said this following concerns that data from the app might be abused by authorities.
He said his ministry will only use the data from the app to detect new Covid-19 cases.
