The festival of Diwali starts with Dhanteras. The festival of Diwali lasts for five days but this time it will be only four days. Shopping on Dhanteras has special significance. There is a tradition of celebrating Narak Chaturdashi i.e. Choti Diwali on the next day of Dhanteras, but due to Diwali on 14th November, this time people are confused about the date of Dhanteras and Narak Chaturdashi. This year Krishna Trayodashi will begin on November 12 at 9.30. On November 13, it will remain till 5:59 pm.

धनतेरस से दिवाली का त्यौहार शुरू हो जाता है. दिवाली का त्योहार पांच दिन चलता है लेकिन इस बार ये सिर्फ चार दिनों का ही होगा. धनतेरस के दिन खरीदारी करने का विशेष महत्व है. धनतेरस के अगले दिन नरक चतुर्दशी यानी छोटी दिवाली मनाने की परंपरा है लेकिन 14 नवंबर को दिवाली होने की वजह से इस बार लोग धनतेरस और नरक चतुर्दशी की तिथि को लेकर दुविधा में हैं.इस साल कृष्ण त्रयोदशी 12 नवंबर की रात 9.30 पर शुरू होगी जो 13 नवंबर को शाम 5:59 बजे तक रहेगी.
