바이든 승리 선언…"미국은 단합하고 치유할 때"

Democrat Joe Biden is the projected winner of the U.S. Presidential Election the major media outlets calling the state of Pennsylvania in his favor, which pushed him past the number of electoral votes needed for a win.
Both the president-elect and the vice president-elect, Kamala Harris, addressed the American people on Saturday.
Legal challenges, however, are underway by President Trump, who has not acknowledged a win by the Biden camp.
Jang Tae-hyun reports.
Democrat Joe Biden was projected to have won election on Saturday... and is expected to be inaugurated early next year as the 46th President of the United States.
Votes are still being counted in several states, but CNN called it just before mid-day on Saturday, eastern time, followed minutes later by the Associated Press and others.
That night, Biden gave his first speech as U.S. president-elect in Delaware, the state he represented in the Senate for decades.
"Now for all those of you who voted for President Trump, I understand your disappointment tonight. I've lost a couple of times myself, but now let's give each other a chance. This is the time to heal in America."
He then repeated his promise that he would try to unify rather than divide.
Biden won the 270 Electoral College votes he needed... with the 20 electors from the battleground state of Pennsylvania.
Biden won over 74 million votes, even more than the record set by Barack Obama,... while Trump also won over 70 million votes this time, far more than the 63 million he received in 2016.
Biden will turn 78 at the end of this month, making him the oldest president in U.S. history when he is inaugurated on January 20th.
And his running mate, California Senator Kamala Harris, will be the first woman and the first person of color to be the American vice president.
While the major TV networks projected a Biden victory,... President Trump was golfing at his club in Virginia.
Trump maintains that he won and has not acknowledged the results reported by the media.
He tweeted Saturday that observers could not see into the count rooms and added that "bad things happened inside and big changes took place."
He says the election was stolen in Pennsylvania and other states... and apparently has no plans at this point to deliver the traditional concession speech.
The Trump campaign has filed lawsuits challenging the election process and the ballots cast in swing states that have gone to Biden.
The state of Georgia is expected to do a recount, and Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, says the campaign will be in court on Monday in Pennsylvania.
