PonMagal Vandhal streamed on Amazon Prime Video on May 29, 2020. Ahead of the release, the makers hosted the first-ever digital premiere of their film today, on 28th May, 2020. Actors, directors and other prominent personalities from the Southern industry took part in the screening of the first-ever Tamil film which was set for a theatrical release and is now, releasing on the OTT platform. The film is directed by debutant JJ Frederick and produced by Suriya. The film stars Jyothika leading an ensemble cast including R. Parthiban, K. Bhagyaraj, Thiagarajan, Pandiarajan and Pratap Pothen. Ponmagal Vanthal was two film deal with 2D Entertainment along with Surya's Soorarai Pootru. Now we hear that Vijay's Master is bought by Amazon prime for 15 crores beating his previous film Bigil which was sold for 14 years.

Master is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and produced by Xavier Britto, under the banner XB Film Creators. The film stars actor Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in lead role with an ensemble cast, featuring Malavika Mohanan, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, and Ramya Subramanian amongst others, play supporting roles.The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, whilst cinematography and editing are handled by Sathyan Sooryan and Philomin Raj, respectively.
