Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell .
and Democratic candidate Amy McGrath .
was called a win for McConnell
by the Associated Press.
McConnell is now
poised to begin his
seventh term as Senator.
According to 'The New York Times,'
donors supporting McGrath had poured
more than $100 million into her campaign.
McConnell was recently criticized
for the role he played in the speedy
confirmation of Supreme Court
Justice Amy Coney Barrett. .
Kentucky was the first state of the
evening called as a win for President Donald Trump
