Jammu & Kashmir Landslides: Highway Shut, Vehicular Traffic Suspended, CRPF Rescues Man Trapped

Jammu-Srinagar Highway has been shut due to landslides. The vehicular traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway was suspended due to landslides and shooting stones triggered by rain at Panthial and Mom Passi Ramban district. Machines have been pressed into service to clear the debris of landslides. The pilgrims coming after the Amarnath Yatra from the Pahalgam route have also been stopped at Banihal and Shaitan Nullah. Meanwhile, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel of 72nd Battalion rescued a man trapped in landslide near milestone 147.
