Muharram 2019: Muharram is the first month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Many are unaware of the fact that Muharram is not an occasion but a month. Not many know that Muharram and Ashura are not the same. The Battle of Karbala, which resulted in the martyrdom of Hussain, the grandson of Prophet Mohammed, was fought during this month.
