Suicide is the second leading cause of death in the age group of 15-29 year olds all over the world. India’s National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) in its 2015 data had put the suicide rate among students at – one death every hour. September 8-14 is marked as suicide prevention week to raise awareness and encourage dialogue for those suffering from emotional distress, and mental health issues.
