As of March 19, coronavirus infections have been identified in 176 countries with the number of those infected crossing 2 lakh. Close to 9,000 deaths have occurred across these countries due to coronavirus. The World Health Organisation has prescribed ‘social distancing’ as the foremost measure to contain the spread of COVID-19 infections. This has meant that most countries have brought in a range of measures to restrict travel and movement of people to limit the exposure of home populations to the infection.
