Chef and restaurateur -- Floyd Cardoz, who has been credited with introducing an alternative view of the Indian cuisine to the West – especially the U.S.’s east coast, died due to complications arising from the COVID-19 infection on March 25. He had tested positive for coronavirus a week ago. Cardoz was part-owner of Hunger Inc. Hospitality which owned the much acclaimed restaurants -- The Bombay Canteen, and O Pedro, in Mumbai.
