Jyotiraditya Scindia & Mother Madhavi Raje Test Positive For Coronavirus, Admitted To Delhi Hospital

BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother Madhavi Raje Scindia tested positive for coronavirus on June 9, reported PTI. The mother-son duo were admitted to Max Super Speciality hospital in Delhi's Saket on June 8 after they complained of throat irritation & fever. No statement has been issued either by the Scindia family or Max hospital. BJP leaders Shivraj Singh Chouhan & Sambit Patra tweeted their concern for Scindia and his mother. Senior Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi wished Scindia a speedy recovery. The development comes at a time when bypolls are due in 24 assembly constituencies and elections for three Rajya Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh. Scindia is one of the BJP candidates for the elections that were postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak and will now take place on June 19. The number of coronavirus cases in Delhi has surged in the last few days. The number of confirmed cases in the national capital stands at 31309 with 905 deaths.
