करवा चौथ व्रत सुहागिन महिलाओं के लिए बहुत महत्व रखता है। करवा चौथ के दिन महिलाएं पूरे दिन उपवास रखती हैं और रात को चांद के निकलने का इंतजार करती हैं। चांद के निकलने पर पूजा और जल देकर अपने पति के हाथों से जल ग्रहण करती हैं। करवा चौथ में आसपास की सभी सुहागिन महिलाएं एक जगह पर एकत्रित होकर करवा माता की पूजा के साथ कथा सुनती हैं। करवा चौथ पूजा में कुछ चीजों का विशेष महत्व होता है।
