Hollywood actor Johnny Depp has lost the libel case he filed against The Sun Newspaper for calling him a "wife beater".
The 57 year-old had sued the British tabloid over a 2018 article,... which said he was violent towards his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard.
The court ruled that the allegations were "substantially true", with claims made including choking, punching, and kicking.
Heard had previously detailed 14 such occasions, 12 of which had indeed happened, according to the court.
Depp repeatedly denied the allegations.
