Pakistani Peace Activist Wins Gusi Peace Prize 2019 For Sindh Water-Relief Project

Farhan Wilayat Butt is a banker known for his philanthropy, compassion and humanitarian projects. Most importantly, he is known for winning the Gusi Peace Prize 2019. It is a private award that is given to individuals who have done significant work for peace and humanity by Gusi Peace Prize Foundation based in Manila, Philippines. Zaofishan Naqvi interviewed Farhan who explained how he has been working on different projects such as Sindh Water-Relief Project, distribution of sewing machines and wheelchairs, fund-raisings, food drives in Africa, Pakistan Peacekeeping mission and so on. The most important project, however, is the Sindh Water-Relief Project where water-wells and hand-pumps are installed in the remote villages of Sindh such as Tharparkar, Umerkot, Dadu for clean and easy access to water.
