Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Board have opened a milk shop in Lahore funded by the Punjab government. This initiative was taken due to the shortage of pure drinking milk in Lahore. Many milk companies were fined and banned because they were selling milk containing harmful chemicals. Punjab Pure Milk is for the benefit of the people in light of this matter. Punjab government owns many farms in Sargodha where the milk is collected and pasteurized. Fresh milk is brought to Lahore on a daily basis.
