World leaders condemned the terror attack on France in which three people were killed. US President Donald Trump on October 29 expressed solidarity with France after a knife assault in a Nice church. He demanded a halt to terrorist attacks. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in France. PM Modi asserted that India stands with the country in the fight against terrorism. India on October 28 had strongly deplored the personal attacks against French President Emmanuel Macron following his tough stance on radical Islam, calling it a violation of the most basic standards of international discourse. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson also condemned the brutal terror attack. Amid the outpouring of solidarity for France, Malaysia’s former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad defended Muslims’ “right to kill millions of French people.” Mahathir, who served as Malaysian premier twice for a total of 24 years, said that French President Emmanuel Macron was "not showing that he is civilised", adding he was "very primitive”. “Muslims have a right to punish the French,” he said, addressing Macron.
