District Collector Srihari Pratap Shahi has made a unique effort to conserve the environment on Deepawali in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. District Magistrate Shrihari Pratap Shahi was seen wearing a pair of thongs on his shoulder, foot slippers on the 28th of October. In the native style, DM Srihari Pratap Shahi reached the potter's house and sat on the ground and made lamps for Diwali. Not only this, DM also ordered thousands of Diyas for his residence, camp office and collectorate for Deepawali.

उत्तर प्रदेश के बलिया में दीपावली पर जिलाधिकारी श्रीहरि प्रताप शाही ने पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए अनोखा प्रयास किया है. जिलाधिकारी श्रीहरि प्रताप शाही 28 अक्टूबर को कंधे पर गमछा, पैरों में हवाई चप्पल पहन बिल्कुल देसी अंदाज में नजर आए। देसी अंदाज में डीएम श्रीहरि प्रताप शाही कुम्हार के घर पहुंचे और जमीन पर बैठकर दीवाली के लिए दीए बनाए। इतना ही नहीं, डीएम ने दीपावली के लिए अपने आवास, कैम्प कार्यालय और कलक्ट्रेट के लिए हजारों दीयों का आर्डर भी दिया
