IAF Chief BS Dhanoa Flies Oldest Mig -21 Model, Visits Sulur Air Base in Tamil Nadu

Indian Air Force Chief BS Dhanoa flew a number of solo sorties in MiG -21 fighter jets. He flew the same in Sulur, Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. The MiG-21s are the oldest aircraft in the fleet and many of them are on the verge of being phased out from the inventory of the Air Force. The Air Chief Marshal had commanded the 17 squadron during Kargil war flying the Type 96. MiG-21 Type 96 entered service in 1973-74. Watch the video to find out more about MiG-21.
