China reported 137 new coronavirus cases in the remote city of Kashgar in the far western Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region on October 25, 2020. The cluster was found through a mass testing ordered by city authorities the day after a 17-year-old girl in Shufu county tested positive in a routine screening. All the new cases were asymptomatic and linked to a factory where the infected teenager’s parents worked.
