Dussehra 2020: This year Dussehra festival will be celebrated on 25 October. Every year this festival is celebrated on the Dashami Tithi of Ashwin Shukla Paksha. According to religious belief, this festival symbolizes the victory of religion over unrighteousness, truth over untruth and good over evil. Goddess Durga killed Mahishasura on this day and freed the gods from his terror. On this day, Lord Shri Ram killed Ravana and conquered Lanka. Therefore, this festival is also known as Vijayadashami. It is considered a very auspicious day for many auspicious tasks.

Dussehra 2020: इस साल दशहरा पर्व 25 अक्तूबर को मनाया जाएगा। हर साल यह पर्व आश्विन शुक्ल पक्ष की दशमी तिथि के दिन मनाया जाता है। धार्मिक मान्यता के अनुसार, यह पर्व अधर्म पर धर्म की, असत्य पर सत्य की और बुराई पर अच्छाई की जीत का प्रतीक है। मां दुर्गा ने इसी दिन महिषासुर को मारकर देवताओं को उसके आतंक से मुक्त कराया था। आज ही के दिन प्रभु श्रीराम ने रावण का संहार कर लंका पर विजय पाई थी। इसलिए इस त्योहार को विजयादशमी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। कई शुभ कार्यों के लिए यह बेहद ही शुभ दिन माना जाता है।
