The coronavirus vaccine, once available, will be distributed under a special COVID-19 immunisation programme with the Centre procuring the doses directly and making it available for priority groups, official sources said.

केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री हर्ष वर्धन के मुताबिक केंद्र सरकार को अनुमान है कि अगले साल जुलाई तक करीब 25 करोड़ लोगों के लिए 40-50 करोड़ डोज प्राप्त हो जाएंगी. मतलब साफ है कि सभी लोगों को एक साथ टीका देने की प्रक्रिया शुरू नहीं हो पाएगी. ऐसे में केंद्र ने सरकार देश के करीब 30 करोड़ लोगों की पहचान करने की प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी है जिन्हें पहले टीका दिया जाएगा.
