Cartoonist Bala drew a cartoon showing CM Palaniswami, the police commissioner of Tirunelveli and the local district collector all covering their private parts with currency notes while a person lay burning in front of them. Bala's cartoon was an attempt to censure the three for being unable to help a distressed family who recently set themselves on fire outside the Tirunelveli Collectorate after their complaints of being harassed were not addressed. He narrates how he was arrested and how rude the police were behaving to him, all his telephone, mobile and computer & parts were taken away from him they were treating him as a terrorist and took him out of his home. After few days he came out in bail and addressed the media that he is also a journalist and he will continue his drawings.
