Role of UP police under questions in Ballia shootout

A 46-year-old man was killed in firing on Thursday over a dispute at a meeting for selection of ration shops in Durjanpur village in Reoti area of Ballia district in Uttar Pradesh. According to news agency PTI, he was killed when one Dhirendra Prajapat Singh opened fire after a meeting called at Panchayat Bhawan for selection of ration shops was cancelled by the sub-divisional magistrate. Now the role of the police is also under questions in the shootout. The main challenged escaped after police caught him, is raising questions on circle officer present on the spot.
