On Tuesday, South African scientists launched a clinical trial to test whether childhood vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella can protect frontline healthcare workers from COVID-19 or reduce the severity of illness for those infected. Cape Town University and the University of Witwatersrand have partnered for the vaccine trial.
