Tahir finished the 2019 edition of the IPL as the highest wicket-taker with 26 wickets from 17 games. However, much to the surprise of quite a few, Tahir has not played a single match for CSK this season. On a few occasions, Tahir was spotted carrying drinks on the field for his teammates, which caused a bit of an uproar of social media. On Wednesday, Tahir took to microblogging site Twitter and said that it was his duty to "return the favours" to the players who had earlier carried drinks when he was out there in the action.
