இ.ஐ.ஏ 2020 (Environment Impact Assessment 2020) மத்திய அரசால் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டுள்ளது. யார் வேண்டுமானாலும் எங்கு வேண்டுமானாலும் எத்தகைய தொழிற்சாலையையும் ஆரம்பிக்கலாம், எவ்வளவு பெரிய திட்டத்தையும் தொடங்கலாம் என்று ‘முழு சுதந்திரம்’ வழங்குவதற்கு மத்திய பா.ஜ.க அரசு தயாராகிவிட்டது. அதற்காகத்தான், இ.ஐ.ஏ 2020 கொண்டுவரப்படுகிறது. மத்திய அரசின் இந்த நடவடிக்கைக்கு கடும் எதிர்ப்பு கிளம்பியுள்ளது. இ.ஐ.ஏ 2020-ஐ மத்திய அரசு வாபஸ் பெற வேண்டும் என்கிற ஹேஷ்டாக் சமூகவலைதளங்களில் டிரெண்டாகியுள்ளது. இந்த எதிர்ப்புக்கு என்ன காரணம் என்பதைப் பார்ப்பதற்கு முன்பாக, இ.ஐ.ஏ 2020 என்றால் என்ன? என்ன சிக்கல் ? என்பதைப் பார்ப்போம்.




Environmental activists and experts across the country are up in arms against the Draft Environmental Impact Assessment notification 2020. The union ministry of environment, forest and climate change (MoEFCC) unveiled the draft to the public in March 2020 seeking to replace the 2006-version of the law. The voices against the draft are getting stronger by the day, expressing opposition to various exemptions proposed in it, which would defeat the purpose of having an EIA altogether.
