Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan died on Thursday evening. Paswan was ill for a long time and was admitted to a hospital in Delhi. Ram Vilas Paswan was the Minister of Consumer Food and Public Distribution Ministry after his death, Union Minister Piyush Goyal has been given additional charge of this Ministry. Piyush Goyal already has the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

केन्‍द्रीय मंत्री रामविलास पासवान का गुरुवार की शाम निधन हो गया। पासवान लंबे समय से बीमार चल रहे थे और दिल्‍ली के अस्‍पताल में भर्ती थे। रामविलास पासवान उपभोक्ता खाद्य और सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्रालय के मंत्री थे उनके निधन के बाद केन्‍द्रीय मंत्री पीयूष गोयल को इस मंत्रालय का अतिरिक्त प्रभार सौंपा गया है। पीयूष गोयल के पास पहले से रेल मंत्रालय और वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्रालय है।
