Gupteshwar Pandey, former DGP of Bihar, who received the membership of Janata Dal United by taking VRS just before the election, has suffered a setback. He has not got a ticket in Bihar assembly elections. There were speculations about a candidate from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) being nominated from a seat in his box, but he is not named in the list of candidates.

चुनाव के ठीक पहले वीआरएस ले कर जनता दल यूनाइटेड की सदसयता ग्रहण करने वाले बिहार के पूर्व डीजीपी गुप्तेश्वर पांडेय को झटका लगा दिया है। बिहार विधानसभा चुनाव में उन्हें टिकट नहीं मिला है। उनके बक्टर्स की किसी सीट से रास जनतांत्रिक गठबंधन (NDA) का प्रत्याशी होने के कयास लगाए जा रहे थे, लेकिन उनको टिकट नहीं मिला है.
