Health DG: 20,985 samples tested for Covid-19 yesterday

Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah revealed today that 20,985 samples were tested for Covid-19 using RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction) on Wednesday.

Malaysia currently has 60 dedicated Covid-19 testing facilities in the country, with a combined capacity to run 41,354 RT-PCR tests as of yesterday.

Malaysia has also conducted a total of 259,023 tests using antigen rapid test kits up to yesterday, of which 1,481 (0.57 percent) returned a positive result.
