US War Commander About the Power of China's 3rd Aircraft Carrier. US Underestimates China

Two Type 003 aircraft carriers are in the process of being built, a testament to the significant increase in the strength of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. China's aircraft carrier is considered to be catching up and competing with the combat power of the United States Armed Forces.
According to a report by the South China Morning Post (SCMP), it turned out that China was building two Type 003 aircraft carriers and not just one unit that was widely reported.
Construction of a single Type 003 aircraft carrier, hull number 19, is almost complete and will soon enter service with the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy.
Meanwhile, another unit is still under construction and is expected to be introduced and enter service period in 2021. The two Chinese Type 003 aircraft carriers were built at the Jiangnan Shipyard, and are certain to be much larger than the Type 001 Liaoning (16) and Type. 002 Shandong (17).
If the Liaoning weighs 67,500 tons and the Shandong 70,000 tons, then the Type 003 carrier unit weighs 85,000 tons. The Chinese Type 003 aircraft carrier will be able to carry far more aircraft carrier-based fighters, as many as 40, or twice as many as the Type 002 Shandong aircraft.
Recognizing this, the Commander of the US Fleet Forces Command, Admiral Christopher Grady, expressed his challenge.
Grady knows the Chinese military is eager to have as many aircraft carriers as the US military. However, Grady stressed that China still has a long time to go to be equal to the US.
"(Chinese aircraft carrier building) is good for them. It makes the argument that the carrier (role) is important. We have it. They want it and they are building it," Grady said.
Grady described, the US needs more than 100 years to perfect the strength of its aircraft carriers. So, China also still has to go through a number of problems to maximize the strength of its aircraft carriers.
Grady's statement implies that the Chinese military has not been able to equalize the strength of its aircraft carriers with the number of US-owned carriers.
"To me, it makes sense. They are (one of) the maritime powers and they understand the immense value that comes from flying from an aircraft carrier. We need more than 100 years to get it right," Grady continued.
Lots of blood, life, sweat and tears to make naval aviation successful. Please build that big ship. However, to build a naval aviation ecosystem that powers the ship, it will take a lot of hard work and time, "he said.

Some of the largest US-owned carriers in the world are, USS Nimitz (CVN-68), USS Dwight D. Esienhower (CVN-69), USS Carl Vinson (CVN-79) and USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN- 78).
